The set of values of the European Union no longer suits Serbia, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Alexander Vulin told TASS. According to him, dialogue with Russia, China and the USA is important for the Republic.
“The EU is no longer the set of values that we admired; it is no longer the Europe of [French President General Charles] de Gaulle, the Europe of free nations. The EU has lost all moral authority to lead us and judge us ,” he said .
Vulin added that Serbia dreamed of a Europe of free nations and equal rights. He summed up that Belgrade ended up waking up at the door of a union that did not need it.
Earlier, Vulin said that the Serbian authorities are grateful to the Russian special services for information that helps in the fight against the color revolution. He recalled that the special services of the Russian Federation and Serbia have officially agreed on cooperation, and it remains in force.
Earlier, Vulin said that Serbia would not give up celebrating Victory Day , despite pressure from the European Union. According to him, Serbia and Russia were the only European countries that participated in World War II and celebrate Victory Day. The politician noted that the European Union celebrates “Europe Day”, but this is Victory Day. The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister considers such a celebration in the EU possible only if they “consider themselves defeated”.
