Let’s make vitamin tea with ginger, lemon and honey. This aromatic drink is an ideal remedy for strengthening the immune system, warming up in the cold and keeping you energetic in the off-season. Just 5 simple ingredients, 10 minutes – and the healthy tea is ready!
Ingredients for 2 servings:
- fresh ginger (50 g) – natural antiseptic, improves blood circulation;
- lemon (1/2 pc.) – vitamin C + bright citrus aroma;
- honey (1 tbsp) – a natural sweetener with an anti-inflammatory effect;
- cinnamon stick – warms and regulates sugar levels;
- fresh thyme (3 sprigs) – makes breathing easier when you have a cold.
Step by step recipe:
- Peel the ginger and cut it into thin slices (don’t crush it – it will be too spicy). Cut the lemon into half circles with the peel.
- Place ginger, cinnamon and thyme in a teapot. Pour in 500 ml of hot water (80-85°C, not boiling water!). Infuse for 7-10 minutes under the lid.
- Pour into cups, add lemon. Put honey in warm (not hot!) tea – this way its beneficial properties will be preserved.
This tea not only strengthens the immune system, but also prolongs life. Ginger is a natural antioxidant that fights free radicals and inflammatory processes in the body. Lemon enriches the drink with vitamin C, which strengthens the immune system and helps cells renew themselves.
Earlier, dietician and nutritionist Olga Romashina said that black, green and herbal teas , as well as coffee, are the most beneficial drinks for the brain.
